The Perry County Commissioners have recognized that with the advent of the routes 22/322 and 11/15 reconstruction, Perry County - particularly the eastern section - will see a rapid increase in its marketability. While the local leaders see the need to be more proactive in encouraging new business development in the county, they feel a responsibility to manage and direct that growth in such a way that it would not adversely affect the unique character and beauty of the county.

Out of this desire to manage our growth, the Perry County Economic Development Corporation was born. Made up of local government and business leaders and private citizens, the corporation has a vested interest not only in increasing commercial business in the area by aggressively managing the county's economic development, but also in maintaining Perry County's unique natural environment and keeping it a place where we want to live and raise our families.

We are committed to working in partnership with the commissioners and their Economic Development Authority. All sides believe that as we increase our work centers, we will substantially reduce the tax burden on our local property owners.
